It's difficult to know when sarcasm transcends into fuck-wittery.
When a girl prides herself on a Good Sense of Humor, where is the line where said girl says 'shut up, you're hurting my feelings'? This is one of those things that we are expected to have dealt with and have answers to by Our Age. People Our Age have children for heaven's sake; they need to have the answers ready for these questions when Age Appropriate.
I am preparing for my rapidly-approaching (triumphant) return to the Bay State and would like to have such boundaries delineated. I always fear the making of new friends challenge. As a social hermit that can easily burrow under the covers and pretend that I don't have to...but that decision always comes to a head with me crying into a bottle of wine. Thus, the challenge remains to make fun, witty new friends- and firmly give boundaries. I don't like waking up feeling like I am less than myself due to a snide, semi-ok comment made in passing by a friend.
